why Wikipedia do not contain info about BUSSE&INFI

hi, you all.
i often use Wikipedia.org to learn things that i do not know,and alway with satisfied answer ,cool.

but when i inputed the busse , i found onthing ,then INFI as well.:thumbdn:
i think , you hogs can do that to the people who do not know it ,as a way to promote the fame of Great Busse !:D

ps: i am not a native speaker , can not do that .
 
I recall a few years ago a page was started, however it was removed by Wikipedia. I think the reason was they felt it was too much like an ad. However that is just what my foggy memory tells me!
 
I don't see why they would have a problem with a Busse combat entry.
They have one for Cold Steel, including a link to their website. They also have an entry for Buck Knives.

I think some one needs to create an entry for Busse for sure.
 
ColdOne is correct. I started the page, and because the only information that was available was primarily from the Busse Combat site it violates their rules about primary versus secondary sources. Primary sources (bussecombat.com) cannot be used as a source about itself. Wikipedia is primarily about secondary sources; i.e. that so-and-so published such-and-such information about Busse Combat. A personal website cannot be used as a source about itself. The content of a Busse Combat Wiki page would have to be derived from published sources (not websites but publications) that were writing about Busse. It's possible that there's enough content from articles in Blade, etc., to put together a respectable Wiki page. If these articles were online I could peruse them and put together content; I'm just not savvy enough about past articles to do it myself.

We can. It just has to be derived from 2ndary sources, i.e. published sources, and can't rely at all for anything from bussecombat.com (a primary source about itself). Like I said if there are published articles from Blade, or wherever, that could be used for content then point it out and it would be rather easy to re-create the deleted page. The one we first created was deleted because all of its content came solely from bussecombat.com, which isn't acceptable on that site.
