...throw your knives at rotten stumps. I was throwing my FSH around the camp site this morning and almost lost it inside this stump.

That almost had the making of one of Jerry's old "find the buried INFI or lost dogtag" contests.

You killed that tree you murderer:p I don't throw a knifes (I would never throw a Buss) at tree stumps due to the rocks surrounding the trees here in CA. They stick 50% if the time but otherwise they bounce off and ruin the edge on a rock. Besides you start throwing a Busse around in the woods you better take you don't knock the tree down on you;) I use a cheap Chinese Ka Bar USMC knockoff for throwing around.

Gez Mikey,

I have heard of burying a blade up to the hilt, but up to the pommel!!! I think I agree with c4man, "Better get a longer lanyard"!

Ban volunteered his Sar5 for us to throw, and there's nothing below but asphalt/concrete. We beat the crap out of it, but INFI is really great stuff and nothing that can't be fixed.

Cool picture!

How do you throw knives? The other knife that I have and will throw is a Buck Special 119. I find I can stick it from about 7 feet away using a underhand throw where it slides out of my hand. The Buck is not durable and it quickly became a serious user after an 30 minutes of throwing:grumpy: But I know where to get it right (South Coast Cutlery is local and they are a serious knife venue) and some Bass Pro shops have a knife guy on hand who can use power equipment to fix any edge. Anyway the underhand technique is the only one that's worked for me. And from within 5ft I can hit the tree with the tip 80% of the time.

I throw overhand with a hammer grip. I most often throw a Swamp Rat Howling Rat but I've thrown around an ASH1SE and FSH some. The FSH is the one I was using this past weekend. It initially took me a little while getting used to the Fusion handle but it works fine for me.

Had that thing disappeared you would have been really Stumped:p

Thanks for the pics!

Oh how did miss posting that pun Must have been to focused last night ordering a NMFBM:D If I'm not mistaken that looks to be some great Pitch Wood. Or Sap Wood or whatever It's called in your regional area. But it makes great tinder. I think I may buy a dedicated thrower that was designed for flight to throw around in the woods. Was surprised how well I can stick my knife in a tree with an underhand throw. No chance throwing overhand.

Wow mikey!!

If you hadn't told us that the tree wasn't rotten I would of said that you either had a very very sharp busse or that you were superman gone camping!!

That's pretty awesome! Imagine chucking that sucker at a zombie- and it goes all the way through and impales the zombie directly behind. That'd get their attention!

Calling Jerry Bruckheimer!
