I have contacted several sheath makers here about making a sheath for me with a Ratmandu CG that I have coming and nobody has returned my messages. I won't name names but I am calling ya'll out! If you don't want my business then just say so and don't leave a fella hanging okay? Thanks

I'll help you any way I can. If you have attempted contacting me, it wasn't received, and if you need help contacting any others I will help all I can

Nothing here either. That is if your screen name is your real name.

Hi

I have not heard from you that I know of ? I did just move 850 miles but my e-mail still works.

And yes its my real screen name. I live in Russellville Arkansas and can provide proof of my identity if need be. I am not one of those what do you call em? Shills or Something?

Ron, what Dwayne means is that many people don't remember that an email address will have a name which is not their own and a user name that isn't the same as the email name or their real name. I get mail like that all the time and can't figure out who is writing me.

Since that isn't the case with yours we have to figure out why your email isn't getting through to people.

Also, when you want work done, the standard place is Wanted: Knifemaker / Craftsman / Related Services where craftsman can see to contact you.

I have contacted you, three times to be exact.

No worries, you didnt provide contact info, its kind of hard to look up an e-mail when you dont know what it is. By the way, what is your e-mail address? Most people dont use their forum handle in their e-mail address, so a search based on that would not come up with a result.

What address did you use to contact us? Every e-mail address we use for business contact has no Finkbeiner.

Edit: I did some searching and the closest I found was a contact back in May, for a couple of wrist bands, I have a string of unanswered e-mails from me about those bands, I can only assume they we're not received. Since then, I have nothing.

No no no, no worries! :) The sheer amount of e-mails we deal with on a monthly basis is amazing. Some do get missed, I try to hunt them down with any means possible. Sometimes I find them buried in a big influx of mails and sometimes they just dont make it. E-mail is a fickle thing, it doesn't always make it, in fact it doesn't make it on a disturbingly regular scale. Often times its our outgoing mails, but just as often responses dont make it.

I try to always follow up with at least three mails, I tend to feel like I am being a little obnoxious if I pressure the other person too much. Yea, I've gotten some rather perturbed responses to repeated mails. :p Some feel that a no response means they are not interested and that is the end of it. The reverse is also true.

I'm glad that lost e-mails are becoming more and more uncommon, but they do still happen and hurt feelings do often happen as a result. The lesson for us has been to try every avenue to communicate with the intended recipient. If e-mail doesn't work, try another address. If that doesn't work and you have a phone number try that. If that doesn't work then you might have an issue. The public forums are not always the best choice, but when all else fails a carefully worded inquiry is the best choice. A "call out" might not be. To my point of view its like that person that sits quietly behind me waiting for me to move out of the way, then getting angry when I dont move promptly. It doesn't end well for either one.

Just two days ago I sold a spare Ratmandu sheath on my forum, I have a couple more in the plans, if your still interested in yours and those wrist cuffs please do let me know.

I know its not personal, its business, I never take it personal. Your frustrated and I understand that entirely. I've been more than frustrated by a few knife makers before, and still are by a few. :)

My view, low or mid rides, and/or horizontal.

Low and mid rides both let the handle hang away from the body a little, low has the added benefit that the entire handle is below the upper belt line. You can add a Dangler (or Drop Leg) sheath into that list as well.

Horizontal isnt as user friendly, with an RMD you will either have it cross draw around the appendix or across the back which makes re-sheathing an interesting task.
