Okay okay. It's the darndest thing, but some of the most popular models among our own people at Buck, and our closest customers sometimes just don't survive on the market.
Model 532 was the small size in a series that included a folding fish fillet knife (still in production 549), a 110-size (531) BuckLock, and a great two bladed model (535). The 535 was awesome; a two bladed knife gives you twice the edge retention. (Duh!)
With the mid lock, the file work, nickel silver liners, hanging choil, and that thin sheath they were really very distinctive models. We were all sorry to see them get the shaft. A lot of engineering effort went into those things.
Sadly, they just didn't perform on the market - and when I say that, I mean they maxed out at about 20% of forecast. I will say that your voices are being heard -- the 532 was brought back for the Masters Series! With any luck, it will be seen again.
