Why was Knife Hunter banned? I didn't know you could get banned for things that are said in W&C or The Cove. Everyone seemed to have no problem calling him names and egging him on, and he apologized for the "knock your block off comment". He has always treated me fairly and I think he is a part of the Busse family. Like I said before, I just don't understand how you can banned for posts in W&C or The Cove.
 
Calling a mod names ANYWHERE will get you banned.

Added: just looked, it wasn't directed at a mod. Nevermind.

Oh wait, yes it was.
 
Threat of physical harm is forbiden, for good reason.
I am sure KH would not have knocked anyone out, knocked back some drinks maybe?:rolleyes:;)

On the same topic, I am sure that uncle Jarvis was not a mad slasher:cool::cool:
 
He physically theatened someone, and the apology doesn't undo his threat. That's a big violation on any forum here. I believe the infraction points put him over the point limit, and he was automatically banned. After some time ( a month?), the points will expire and he will be unbanned. That's the explanation I read.
 
I think even KH is asking that same question, Why? It seems to me that there are a few people with more power here on BF that do not like him. Let's face it, the Busse forum is the BIGGEST thing here on the BF and KH was one of the more prominent people here. If you were to review the reasons he acquired the points he received to get "auto banned" I think there are some questionable infractions being given out.

I think he should be let back in, but that's just my opinion.

Something not quite right about the fact that a Mod can call me whatever he wants but I can't retaliate.:confused:

Not that I would retaliate, just sayin'.

He was banned for a threat. He wrote something abstract like:
"if you were here, I'd kick your a$$"

The emptiness of the threat is woven into the statement as an implication. A means by which to communicate anger. Example: If I could get my old butt out of this chair, I'd swat you. As to the rules, I think autoban is an infraction count so they didn't have to list it as a judgement call. Now, I'm not saying he was treated unfairly or that the rules weren't broken. It looks like a technical infraction, but if we are all guilty of one thing, it's screwing up and having the occasional "REALLY BAD DAY". If I hadn't been forgiven for some of my larger "mistakes", I would be in very different shape today. All I can say is, he was a generous guy, a contributer here, and this very thread is a testament that he is missed.
 
Questions like this are best served in Service & Support.

And you should not concern yourself with why someone was banned. If someone gets banned it's for a good reason. There was some behind the scenes stuff that went on as well.
