I had a LM blast? I believe but lost it at punkin chunkin last year so I'm between the wave, sidekick or, blast as edc in sheath to have on belt. What do you think?

I'd do a wave and if you don't wanna carry it on your belt, throw the pocket clip on it and you're all set

Wave is a nice size and the blades are easy to get at without having to open the tool.

What did you like best about your last one? and what tools did you use most? those a good questions to start with, then you can decide to go up or down in size. of the three though, for belt carry, I'd say the wave. Another option would be the Rebar.

Ok so now its either the wave or sidekick, I like the spring action on the side kick but the wave has the bit driver. The wave doesnt have the spring action right?

No its doesn't, BUT the wave is a better tool build-wise. The wingman and sidekick are Leathermans lower end tools.

Something else to consider, the Wingman and Sidekick don't come with a belt sheath, if that's what you are looking for

I have used and carried a wave for over 10 years and still love it. Another model to look at is the Charge... has basically the same tools but the blades have better steel depending on which model IIRC either 154cm or s30v

Hello
I just bought a rebar, just for switch the pliers into my lm charge. I think the best leatherman 4" is tue charge tti, but a step down with less money is the wave.
The rebar feels not sturdy as the wave/charge do, for exhample, the wave's blade thickness is 2,3mm and the rebar's is 1,8mm.
