Just got back from the show and wanted to share a couple of items I found interesting enough to purchase. See the photos below.

A new round knife by Terry Knipschield (like I really needed another, this is number 10) Excellent workmanship and materials. Rockwell hardness at about 60 and excellent ergonomics. The model I chose was $235. Terry has a web site and google is your friend.

Barry King's tight corner number 2 edger. will do really tight corner stuff ie: the back side of a slot punch cut out and similar other applications where the standard edgers fall short. $55 and once again Google is your friend.

The "Reach" magnetic attached LED lights for your sewing machines. My old eyes need all the light I can find and these lights do the job really well. Nick-o-sew and Google once again is your friend.

Dang Paul, quit hogging the round knives! :p

I've been wondering about those edgers. Works good eh? I get tired of sanding tight corners to match the straights... One of these days I'll need a light like that, I'll file away your recommendation for that happy day.

I've got the JWP #2 like that. If I had to buy it again I'd go with the BK. I just like their edgers. The wife got a #1 and a #2 regular BKs yesterday and dang they are nice. Might have to steal em. Score any other goodies Paul? Gonna have to make some more round knives to catch up. I've only got 8 plus the wife's so 9 I guess.

I've never made one for sale so not sure. I am however working on a plan for a roundknife pass around if folks would be interested. No havn't made any of those critters. Not really intending too either. I sure couldn't seel those for what the BKs go for. heck I couldn't sell the handle for that. You should see those two we just got. Drop dead gorgeous cocobolo.

I think there might be a guy or two around here that might be interested in a pass-around. ;)

I believe there is a pass-around forum on the desktop site(?). If not, there are plenty of threads to look at if you want to look at how others do em. Any time I've done one its just agreed that you ship to the next guy on the list within the given time frame. How you expect it to be maintained (the tool that is) is your call. I'd guess stropping would be plenty. I wouldn't touch someone's property to a stone unless I really knew what I was doing, but who knows what condition people get their stuff back in. That said, the guys around here seem to be a very respectful and level headed lot. I know a couple of guys could really use the experience too. I'm too new at all of this to try and twist someone's arm, but I really think someone might find a head knife indispensable. I say do it. I get firsties though. :D
