I'm considering buying a Wicked Edge Sharpener and wondered if any of you have any experience using it on your traditional folders. I've seen several videos online, but most are people sharpening kitchen or tactical knives with larger blades. Just wondering how well this sharpening system works on smaller, thinner blades like I have on most of my traditionals, most of which have blades 3" or smaller (biggest knife is a GEC 42). I searched through old posts, but didn't find anything very helpful. Any feedback would be welcome.

I've seen video of Clay Allison doing small knives on the WE , I don't think you should have a problem. I use an Edge Pro , but the wicked Edge is a great system.

Yeah, I can confirm that this works well on smaller traditional folders... You are somewhat limited on how low you can go on the angle though... You can only go about 19-20*/side if real small.

I would think the EP would be superior in this case?

I have done many traditional knives, my personal ones and other ppls. Works great. The only things is you need the small screw for the thin blade. Got the complete screw kit from wicked edge for free. Here is a little Buck 303 I did for a friend at work. He had never seen a knife so small that could cut so well.
