So I used the search function to no avail and now I bring before you on my knees another thread about the WEPS, I will try to keep it short and sweet.
I am trying to put together a good progression towards polished without breaking the bank and I am thinking I can do it by adding to the standard grits: one set of 1200/1600 diamond stones and one set of 3.5/5 micron leather strops (potentially 1/.5 as well?)
Please tell me if any of my steps are too big, if I might run into problems, are there better options without spending more than $300.00 (initially, over time I will add chosera and shaptons).
How useful will the 1/.5 strops be, and are the 10/14 ones good for anything? I will mostly be sharpening CRKs so a little bit of convex is a positive.
Thanks!
