So I've noticed with the ball joint arms, the left arm mount that screws into the angle rood seems to keep coming loose. Specifically, measure to around 18 degrees, tight so that there's no play in the mount at all. However, after maybe 100 strokes on that side, the stroke movement seems to have loosened the arm mount from the angle rod, to the point that it's extremely wobbly and loose. The other side doesn't have this problem at all... am I doing something wrong, or do I need to just call Clay?

It can happen. I assume you are talking about the coarse angle adjustment knobs, its best to check these at each stone change and anytime to take a breather.

Ditch the dinky hex key and use an angled hex wrench. The extra torque will help tighten it down better.

Huh, I've only been using knobs to make them finger tight. I was worried that I might strip something by over-tightening using the wrench.

Try scuffing the end of the screw with one of your diamond stones... some are so pointed and/or smooth, they don't seat well when contacting the angle arm.
