Wicked Edge Para 2 sharpening problem

Hello,
I am new here, and I got my Wicked Edge a few days ago. I haven't run into any massive issues until today. I've spent the last hour trying to sharpen my friends Para 2, and no matter what I do I can't get the knife to sit properly in the clamp. First off, I don't know if I should put the knife in the first or second slot, as if I put the flat of the spine against the dual-prong key, the stones scrape the clamps. I've tried foam tape, that does nothing. It seems like the edge is perpendicular to the base, until I tighten down the second clamp screw. Then the edge tilts to the left and is no longer perpendicular to the base. If you've successfully sharpened your Para 2 in a Wicked Edge, PLEASE leave your tips and tricks and how you did it. Thanks

Search how to sharpen a FFG blade using the wicked edge. There is a technique that people use that is described on here somewhere! Also, an angle cube may be helpful, or simply an angle app on your phone to know the precise angle each side is at before starting. (To know whether or not the blade is tilted one way or another.)

Thanks, how do you recommend I figure out what each side is though, assuming I have an angle cube?

Get your knife clamped (I don't even worry about which slot to put it in, I just clamp it high enough so I don't grind the clamp itself) and put your stones on the rods. Now you can lean the stones up against the edge of your blade, like you were sharpening, and put the angle cube against the back side of the stone and read the angle. If it's different on one side simply adjust the angle on one of the rods

Ok thanks, so I have to find just the right angle that apexes the edge, than measure that. Thanks man

I use a scrap piece of leather glove to clamp my ffg blades, holds it super tight so it won't wiggle in the vise. Any ol cloth will work, its just fillinh the gap between the clamps and blade.
