I just ordered it, hope it's in stock like it says it is. And I hope it performs like I see on all the videos.
I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Thanks

I'm sure you will love it! Just give the diamond stones about 6 or 7 knives to "break in" before you start seeing optimal results =)

it certainly works the way the videos show. The best advice i can give you is to take things very slow until you get the hang of it. If you set it up properly and take your time, you'll have a shaving sharp knife every single time. I love mine

The above is good advise. Your first two knives let them be the ones you do not love! There is a small learning curve involved, but you will get it. I watched videos and thought I was moving to slow? Clay the owner moves fast. So I thought I was blowing it? I forgot these guys have a bunch of practice? Just go slow and try not to learn bad habits right off the bat.
Also go on their site. The guys there are super friendly, knowledgeable and very willing to help. I have and continue to learn tons there. Good luck. Your just not going to believe how sharp you will be able to get a knife?

Thanks guys, it's supposed to be here today, tick tock, tick tock, and it needs a indirect signature. So I went on line fed ex, and I can print a door tag up and they will leave it, but I can't seem to print the door tag up, says error every time . I just keep watching videos of the wicked edge, I have a couple throw away fixed blades a sog tanto folder and 1 or 2 kitchen knives I'll practice with first. Then I'll try my sebenza 25 and xm 18 when I feel confident.
If you got a knife that won't cut paper well do you start with the 100 grit after you find the correct bevel? Or the 200?
Then just make sure you get a burr on each side. Just wondering , my sebenza has some dull spots where I used it the most, would you start at the 100 grit or what grit would you use?

Unless they need reprofile I would give it a go with the 400. Start there and see if you can work up a burr? You can always go down. 400 are pretty aggressive though. Uf the edge is really bad start lower.
When the diamonds are brand new they are very aggressive! It will take about 10 knives for them to settle in. I bought 15 moras from the web @2.25 each for the break in. The first knife I just ran the stones up and down scrubbing and watched the chips fly. By the second knife they were way better. I've done a few hundred knives now and I get beautiful finishes. By the time I strop they are very reflective! and razor sharp!
I'm actually excited for you, your going to have so much fun! This is one of those "seeing is believing" things.
Good luck,
Eamon

Hey now, it came yesterday. I have reprofiled 1 small tanto fixed blade, sog tanto folding knife, a chefs knife.
Amazing, I woke up early this morning wanting to sharpen something. Yes the diamonds are aggressive when new, but still, what a improvement, what a nice even bevel. Seriously, I was loosing sleep because my knives were not sharpened correctly, I now know I can rest, I have the wicked edge bye my side.. He he he
