Wicked Edge question

I just received a Wicked Edge Pro Pack III.

It is missing the pictured Alignment Guide. I have a call into WE and am awaiting an answer but in the meantime, how critical is this guide? Has the guide in the product photos been replaced with a clear plastic template? That template is nowhere to be found in the product literature.

It does look like the plastic template replaced the ruler in the product photos. Now I need to learn how to use it.

But it’s a hell of a system. A burr comes up easily. Much easier than with the Sharpmaker.

Congratulations! I also have the Pro Pack III. Did you check the slot inside the case that the AAG fits into?
 
The AAG is good for being able to easily clamp your knife up the next time that you need to sharpen it. When you get your blade clamped up perfectly, you can record the position of the blade to the clamp according to the letters and numbers on the AAG. I take photos of it.

It's also usually better to ask things like that on the WE forum.
