Wicked edge stone progression?

A while back I picked up a Field and Sport, 2016. It came with the 100/200 and 400/600 stones. I am looking to get another set of stones to go a bit sharper. Should I get the 800/1000 or is there any reason to skip to the 1500/2200? I mainly sharpen pocket knives and a few kitchen knives. I am not hard on my knives and mainly use the pocket knife (Spyderco Delica) to open packages.

There is no issue going from the 600 to 1500. I would suggest the 1500/glass and 3 micron film is more useful than the 1500/2200.
