Wicked Edge ?

Looking for something that is fool proof. I have a problem of not getting the bevels the same on both sides when reprofiling, especially the last inch of the tip. I have an Edge Pro and have used it for years, but too often the problem occurs. Clearily I'm not a great knife sharpener.
Is the Wicked Edge the thing?

I am sharpening impaired , tried many sharpeners , the Wicked Edge was the ONLY sharper that worked for me .
 
Same here, im no expert when it comes to freehand. So I got the W.E and all problems solved. I recomend bob with oldawan tools. Great service and price.
 
I got a WE Pro Pack before the holidays. Like the others, I am very happy with the results. Especially if I want to re-profile a blade.
 
I have both and for some reason I have trouble getting my bevels even on the WE. i have been using a clamp to hold the blade on my EP Pro and it has been working well for me, but I am new to all this so things may change. I like using them both though.
 
I'm an Ok freehand sharpener? I was a meat cutter for a long time and learned to put a edge on a knife. What I did not learn was how to refine an edge? About six weeks ago I finally after a lot of homework decided to get the Wicked Edge. I live and work on a gun range so hand in hand a lot of knife nuts around here to. I have sharpened somewhere around forty knifes now? All of my friends tell me their knife has never been this sharp? New or not? I since have stepped up and bought Choseras and some fancy sprays and my knifes now have mirror finish and "tree topping" is just part of the game.
I too say go to Bob Nash at Oldawans for great customer service and being in stock.
 
Wicked Edge is an awesome sharpening system, and you can go to almost infinite sharp with all of the micron choices. Definitely get it if you can afford it.
 
I agree with Jastab...Bob with Oldawan was great work with...highly recommend giving him a call! I've had my WE for 3 weeks now and love it!
 
With an angle cube or angle app the we will give you the same angle on each side. However if the knife was ground uneven at the factory the bevels will be different sizes on each side of the knives. Usually it is close enough that it is hard to tell unless you are really looking but I do have some knives that it is quite noticeable on.
