Anyone using the Wicked Edge Precision Sharpener in any variation?

I'm curious to find someone to see what results they got.

I recall reading CRKs are challenge to sharpen on guided systems due to the way the blade thickens towards the tip, yet the bevel remains even. Some have posted pics where the front 1/4 of the blade has a massive bevel from using the WE, or many it was the edge pro.

I've been using the WE for more than 4 years. I currently have two versions ... the version 2 and the newest Gen3. Have had zero trouble sharpening any knife with either versions (though the Gen 3 does have some limitations over the previous versions ... some advantages also!). The Sebenza is no exception. There will always be some challenges if trying to sharpen a knife, where the goal is to sharpen it while retaining the factory edge profile and taking of minimal steel. Obviously much easier with fewer challenges if you are re-profiling the edge. If I had to guess, I would say that people who had trouble just need more practice and experience using the system. Positioning the knife correctly in the clamp is key to getting an even bevel. There are a number of techniques that can be used to find that sweet spot in the clamp and many videos on the Web to demonstrate them.

I have also been using the wicked edge for sometime (4+ years) and have not had an issue with it and the Sebenza. Like was mentioned above the knifes position in the clamp is critical for an even bevel. I enjoy sharpening with mine because I can get repeatable results and I can get my knives extremely sharp.

Ok perfect. I've used my Wicked edge, gen 2 on knives other than my Sebenza. I've seen several methods on YouTube.

Do you guys happen to be doing 25s, in particular replication or maintaining the micro bevel?

Which positioning method have you guys determined worked best? I've seen the o-ring/clip, lines on the side of the stones, checking with sharpie to determine contact, then measuring heel to tip and placing it in center of the clamp, concentric lines on a piece of cardboard then matching the belly to that....

I guess I'm looking at someone showing what worked for thier Sebenza, 25 preferably and going with what has proven to work.

Thanks guys.
