Went with the wife to the thrift shop in town and while trying to distract myself from the horrible new-age gospel music by exploring used ski jackets I came across a gem. Sitting there by itself, just begging to be rescued from it's tacky prison between neon ski jackets, was a brand new and un-worn Alpha Industries flight jacket.

After nearly peeing myself at finding it, I paid the nice lady exactly $24.99 and ran out of the store with my jacket like a little girl clutching a Jonas Brothers autographed cd. I quickly checked over my shoulder to see if there were ninjas in pursuit or the host of one of those prank TV shows and jumped in my car, nearly leaving my pregnant wife in the parking lot. "Hurry up honey, before she changes her mind!" I screamed as I yanked the car into drive. I did forget to buy the $5 Remington trigger lock and the $20 remote starter kit (NIB!), I'll have to go back for them, provided my jacket doesn't turn back into a pumpkin or something.

Man, I love finding something awesome in an unlikely place for cheap money. So anyone else have any recent awesome gear scores?

Savers (thrift store around here) had the Vet day 50% off clothing sale.

Ended up spending $56.80 on things...

[jeans]
2 Pairs Diesel
1 Pair CK
3 Pairs Levis
1 Pair "Unknown" (No tags)
1 Pair Old Navy
2 Pairs Lucky Brand

As if that wasn't enough I happen upon a wonderful winter coat in very good condition with its liner with a tag price of $24 but with the half off...$12!

Made off like a bandit, the two pairs of Diesel jeans are in great condition (and are actual Diesel brand) and I plan on selling them off and making at least $40+ off of them per pair...Of course they are my size and the look damn good on me and are great denim so I might keep em.

People knock the thrift stores, but I love digging around and finding those diamonds in the rough.

Crappy iSight pic, sorry.

Yeah man, thrift stores are where it's at. I found a pair of Doc Marten boots there a few years back and my mom once found a Wusthof chef knife for 10 bucks.
