I see that Winkler recommends Wicked Wax so I thought I would try some. I have been having a difficult time finding any instructions on how to use the stuff - not even on their own website! So, I just rubbed it on and rubbed it off. Great stuff. So far I have used it on my Winkler knives, old Case knifes, even my new Henry rifle. It is especially good at making old bone and Micarta handles come alive.

Have any of you used the stuff? Any tips or pointers on its use?

I just use my finger to apply it and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then lightly buff any excess off. It's a pretty simple process. I have just started using it recently, but so far I like the results. I'm curious to see after more use as hunting seasons really get going how it performs.

Can't say I've tried it. But on knives that weren't cutting food. Johnson's paste wax. I believe the Wicked Wax is the usual beeswax mixed with a softener like vaseline or mineral oil. I've known people who will take a heat gun on the lowest setting and will heat the wax up after they apply it. Let cool and then they'll buff it.

Keep us updated on how it performs.
