(Stippling with a soldering iron and some stainless steel hardware is always a nice cheap mod)

(Adding handle liners to some of the thinner blades can both look good and make the handle a better fit for those with large hands.)

I'm totally digging the Tron-like effect on the handle.

While I like those orange liners, I'm curious as to why you've made a thread about this?

Trying to get the required post amount for a Beckerhead number IMO.

Glad you like my mods... As the others have said, this likely doesn't need it's own thread.

It's all right, guys. I got another thread going talking about the necessity of this thread. See my other thread soon about which threads I like, followed by a thread pointing to it.

Those liners are always fun to look at though.

Inside the Sticky thread "Handle Modifications... The Complete Guide (Hopefully)" there was a large red warning sign "PLEASE NO CHATTING ON THIS THREAD." I wanted to ask how he did it, sorry if I shouldn't make new threads like the Sticky said...

in widerstand's post on that sticky he said he used soldering iron to do the stippling. i know beckers are mesmerizing but the info was there all along if you read it carefully :) the reason i added the no chatting request is it'll get muddy and hard to find info later when there's a lot of general comments/questions going back and forth in that sticky.

another way is sending a pm to widerstand directly (if you're a gold member or higher), send him an e-mail (again through his username), or there's this becker chat thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=799431&page=14

...it's all good

Not the stippling, the Tron-like handle, I read about the soldering iron.

So you just traced the shape of the handles onto plastic and lined each side? There's enough length in the screws to accommodate that? What about exposure of the tang to moisture? Any chance of humidity rusting it behind the scenes?

That's just what I did and the screws fit just fine. Don't forget to add some Lok-Tite and as for the exposing the tang to moisture there is a finish still on the tang under the slabs.
