Ah, you got some of that wind last week huh.
SWMBO said She had some 60 plus mph gusts down on the Oregon coast too.
We have several pine trees that stand well over 100 ft tall around the house. I'm always scared they will come down in the wind.

The question is.... if no one was there when they fell, did they make noise falling?

That's a lot of weight that came down! High winds eh? See any homeless squirrels?

We haven't had much wind, but there is an enormous tree right out back, that was cracking at the base the last ice storm we had. Scary stuff.

damn! you guys got the wind to eh? I cant wait to go to Lighthouse Park this week and check out the damage.

Looks like the work of Ewoks if you ask me. You weren't wearing this the last time you walked there were you?

Here's a link to the article on lambertiana post. No one was hurt.

Pitdog, sorry for the side track.

The only time I experienced a wind storm in the forest was in Yellowstone. Trees were falling around us (mostly lodgepole pines) so we high-tailed it back to the road and our car. Kind of a bummer, because we were catching a fish on almost every cast at the ittle lake that we'd hiked to.
