I saw one of these on the exchange a few months back and just grabbed this one myself. I could tell the profile was a little different from other ADs but didn't realize it had a convex primary grind until it arrived just now.

Blade is convex primary, shorter than a BAD or BG, narrower, and has a rounded spine. Talon hole is also large and ground thinner than my others.

I've see ADs with convex edges on primary flat grinds, but never a v-edge on a primary convex grind.

Wow that is different ,,, very nice 👍 I think that’s the only one I’ve ever seen like it.

Really love the Hellrazor !!!!!!!

That's really interesting. No CS logo? Is it from some special Busse run? Or maybe it was requested from the Shack with the normal Busse logo?

for some reason this one stands out ?
I think I may have owned it at one time ? Or one like it.

It is certainly an oddball--and sleeper with the black paint and standard logo. The convex makes for a very stout edge--stouter than BG. Expertly sharpened though.

Kinda thinking that if it is about .19" thick, then it most likely started life as a Mili Overrun AD blank that wound up becoming a variant. An HD blank would have a smaller Talon Hole. I have a buncha AD's & pretty sure none have a convex grind like that, but I do have a satin finished rounded spine recurve variant AD that's about .187", 3.25" long blade- also most likely started as a MO AD aka "Milganza" AD blank
Cool piece, I like it! 👍👍

I'm sure it started out as a full size blank and by the end of the design backwards grinding session it ended up a little smaller. :D

🤔 It is entirely possibly that we have overlooked one very possible reason then...😉😅😅
