So today my wife had a bunch of cardboard boxes that she wanted to trim and fold and make into smaller boxes. So of course she comes to me and asks for a knife. Now I look down onto one of the lower shelves of my desk and there in a row is a BM 530, a BM 710 and a Fire Warden. Now even though I've had the warden, my first Busse, for nearly a month I just haven't been in any rush to show her and field questions like how much was that? Obviously any of the three knives would have been fine but since I figured she'd be using it a good deal she should really "behold the power of INFI". So I take the big step and hand her the Busse. She looks at it and says, "Oh a new knife". I reply, "Yep, its kinda cute right?" And she nods. A half hour later she hands it back and says, "Nice." I'm stunned, that was the first positive, unsolicited comment she has made about any of my knives. Now I may have to hide it to keep it from disappearing.

It is amazing how addictive this stuff is. She's also got great taste for functionally attractive design. I think I made need to hide the INFI.

She has become one of the "infected" now.

Hide the INFI!!! Once infected, there is no cure! Only one infected can live in a house peacefully. :p

I remember the first Game Warden I brought home, it was the first and only E-model Game Warden Finished(Skunk has the other, non sharpened)

My Wife picks it up, say's "Thank you" and Walks away with it.

Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!!!

Mine also thinks that they are great knives . Funny I got the evil eye one day when iI was chopping with my CGBM , then she asked me if i still had my axe ? Now she gets it .

The more I think about it the more I think my wife is getting some INFI for Christmas. A couple weeks after she moved in my Santoku got a half inch chip in the blade and the tip of my chef's knife miraculously disappeared (both were crap but nevertheless had served me for many years). She really needs INFI more than I do.
