This is a 2 part post. The first question is for Dylan and the next is for the guys on here!

Dylan,

I have met your wife a few times at blade show, cool chick by the way, and was curious about something. Did she carry a knife before you became a knife maker? or does she just carry one to support your business? I will explain why I am asking later!

Everybody,

Does your wife carry a knife everyday? If so what and why?

Whitty, mine is a 2 part reply as well:
A) My wife carries an ESEE Izula (in pink of course) when we go out 99% of the time. It is in the small side compartment of her purse right above the Glock 26 she also carries. She had extreme back surgery 10 years ago (back cages, titanium rods, pelvic angle braces, etc. all told about 10 hours front and back) and needs the assistance of a cane as well most days. Before we met, she carried some kind of defense, but only started carrying the knife after we were married 15 years ago.
B) Dylan buddy, long time between talks. Are you heading up this way for the holidays this year? The Skyline is at it's peak right now, must be the 20* weather that dropped in on us last night. Take care my good man, let us know if you are heading up.
Whitty, excellent question and reasoning. I am interested in the answers you will get.
Be safe.

Brother Whit,

Before she met me, Sarah always carried some sort of cutting utencil, not necessarily a knife, but she always had something in her purse. When her and I got together, she wasn't really a knife person. She didn't have anything against them. They just weren't cool to her. When we got together, I always carried a folder and she was asking to use it all the time. Shortly into our relationship, I switched to carrying a Leatherman all the time and she really liked it, so I ended up buying her a Leatherman Wave, which she still carries in her purse every time she leaves the house. Also, she has confiscated various knives out of my collection over the years, usually the most expensive. lol. That Peoples Knife she carries at Blade is really just for show and to sport the brand, which works like a charm since she's hot. ;) She uses that Leatherman all the time and now not only uses proper knife safety and cutting technique, but could also get through any locked door without leaving any visual signs that she was even there. (She's learned a lot from me over the years)

Yeah bro. We're heading up there for Xmas. Her parents live in Lebanon and there's a Skyline pretty close to their house. Shoot me an email with your number and I'll give you a holler when we're heading up there. fletcherknives@gmail.com
