Wife got her first Buck knife today.

My wife isn't a knife nut like me but has a few knives. She has 2 Bark rivers, a mora and now a Buck. She has been looking at some small folders for the past few weeks whenever we have been at sporting good stores. Last week at Cabelas she was looking at a small Bones (869) knife. It really surprised me as it wasn't something I thought she would be interested in. Any way we were at Bass Pro in Peoria this evening and she was looking at it again and talking about how she really liked it. My 10yo son was looking at another Bantam. So she thought we had picked up the Bantam for him as she was helping our 6yo daughter. It wasn't until we were out in the van and we gave it to her did she realize what we had done. So now she has an edc. I figure it would be a starting place.

Excellent choice. Sometimes women don't think they need to carry a small knife around with them, then they start looking for scissors and other pointy, pokey things to open a package or cut a thread or something. I bought my wife a Custom Shop 503 in Cherrywood for Christmas, she even carries it sometimes.

Thanks guys. Like I said it wouldn't have been my first choice but it was her choice. So as long as she is happy with it , I'm happy.
