I've been busting my tail lately and the wife told me I deserve a Mistress. When one comes up on the exchange that I like I should get it. Oh,yeah.

Congratulations!

Sounds like you've got two keepers there - your wife and your new knife!

Great Wife!!! Mine on the other hand is getting Kitchen Cabinetes.

When I was married my wife forced me to get mistresses  Which is why every married guy needs a "summer home" within an hour of where they live.

PS they rent well to friends too

This reminds me of my Favorite New Years Toast.....To our Wives and our Girlfriends......may they NEVER meet!

Hell,,,,,,, my wife would get me a *female* mistress , long before a battle mistress (odd woman that) :D Hahahaaaaa

Ok, what is the reason, other than decorative, for the grooving on the blade on this knife? What is the thickness at the spine?, and at the working edge? Just curious since the grooves carved into the blade sides design would seem to impede cutting.

I believe that the grooves actually reduce the friction on the sides of the blade allowing for deeper penetration while chopping. I think that they may help with rigidity of the blade also. Someone else step in and state it better than I have.

I can see where they might add rigidity to the blade. How was the pattern of the grooves determined? It does not seem arbitrary, but thought out from the mind of a mad scientist! Now how would one of them look stripped and polished with those grooves....interesting, very interesting.
