So my wife is in her last semester before she graduates with her Associates.

In her biology class she is doing a research project on what is and is not edible and the organic chemistry behind "Why?"

She told me she cannot find a picture of a "Death Cap" and a "Yellow Stainer" or "Gold Top" mushrooms.

I figured that this would be the place to ask.

Thanks guys!

I just Googled all three and found numerous images. Is there something in particular that she is looking for?

What we have here is a failure to communicate.

What she is looking for is the reason why they are so poisonous.
What happens when it is ingested?
What chemical does it contain that is harmful to humans?

She was asking me questions, but I think she found it online somewhere now.
I just figured that you guys could probably quote some of this stuff off the top of your heads.

Thanks again.

In the back of the Audubon Mushroom books there is some good info about mushroom toxins and there effect, but I'm guessing the links above are even better.

The best advice I ever heard on wild mushrooms was "when in doubt, throw it out". Words to live by.
