Left a window open after a late night of drooling the purveyor sites and she bought the one I left open!

Good thing I left the window open on the knife I actually wanted!

Sorry for the iPhone pictures but you get the idea… Gotta love Ohta's jigged bone:

Oh wow that's a really nice looking knife and very cool of your wife! My woman in that same scenario would say something along the lines of "wow your looking at knives again! You have a problem". :)

Well I was looking at far more expensive knifes that night... Bose, Chamblin, Kawamura, etc. Maybe the trick was that it was within her budget? I can guarantee that if I had a Bose window open I wouldn't be posting this thread :D

That is a lovely piece.

You can tell your wife I told you that you have to put out now!

I would love it if my wife surprised me with a knife.

She lets me buy, but she is sick of hearing about them!

She also says I have a sickness for Bladeforums. Want's to destroy it!

You have a terrific wife!

Maybe if it was around my birthday and I was looking at Case, Utica, Buck or Boker, maybe, but an Ohta, she would tell me I'm crazy ;)

Beautiful knife, congrats!

WOW! That's really cool.........I would say she's going to have a good valentines day!!!!!!

You should have her train my wife. Mine just rolls her eyes and says "you already have enough knives".

Ohta is nothing to sneeze at man! You got a keeper for sure. I think a nice dinner at her favorite restaurant and a weekend of doing whatever she wants (no, get your head out of the gutter, chores I mean) are in order.

I am doing the same thing with open windows right now. My wife approached me last night about Valentine's Day, and I told her I did not want anything, it is for women only, and to not worry I wouldn't disappoint her. I made her something this year, she loves that kind of a thing. She says well, I was thinking about getting you a new knife. I perked up very quickly. We picked a price range and I showed her all the ones I was interested in, and she says she will pick one. I guess I might learn to like Valentines Day afterall:D

Great wife!

All I would get would be some variation of, "you have enough knives and it looks just like all of the other ones."
