Yeah....... mine likes to say "no more knives"
ok....yeah...sure....no problem...(fingers crossed behind my back)

thanks for keeping it mums the word lol.
I think the reason I like the older ones (have a modern one as well and to me the quality is still there) is because when I was a kid growing up in the mid to late 70's/early 80's I always wanted one but had to settle for the ole pakistani knock offs.

Now I can buy what I want.. plus if the wifey finds out, the old saying "its a lot easier to ask for forgiveness than permission" will come to play.

Actually, she is pretty laid back and lets me do what I want (within reason haha) for the most part. She just does not get it when it comes to a good quality classic like the 110.

This is where you get a set of Buck kitchen knives ;)
Then she will learn to love them too....
Although, my gal has cut herself with 4 of ours so far.... ;)
Bit by the spreader, slicer, and both paring knives, but she sure loves that 4" paring knife!
It could very well backfire.

Hi Chris, good suggestion IF she cooked haha. I do all the cooking..maybe that is why she is pretty good with me buying stuff. your wife sounds like my sister in law. She is always going to the urgent care center with a cut finger but she is one heck of a cook.

Haha, well... we share the cooking duties. I was a cook all through college. She learned to cook after she met me.
She has turned into a great cook too.

So it sounds like you need the kitchen set for yourself ;)
Perfect excuse to get 12 more Bucks in 1 shot :)

Heck, with as many 110's that I am collecting I can almost use them as a full kitchen set lol. I actually will need a new kitchen set soon. She got me for Christmas a set of Kyocera ceramic knives and boy are they sharp and stay sharp but want to have a matching set of stainless steel with steak knives. I think I have something for my b-day list so thanks for the idea!!

Join the collectors club :)
Then, in addition to all the other super great benefits, you could get a really good price for the set with the special discount ;)
And I mean really good!

My wife was upset because her dad had four pocket knives she had to confiscate from him. She just couldn't understand why he needed so many. I ain't telling her I have boot box full of knives - mostly Buck Knives. LOL

My wife always tells me no more knives... i say i wont then I get carried away and buy 5-10 more... she only catches me when its fedex delivering... lol

Knives are easy to sneak in without the wife knowing, especially if they are all the same make and model. Longbows and recurves are a little tougher, but
The hardest thing I've tried to sneak in on my wife is a tractor. :)
Finally on my last tractor I bought, a 1953 John Deere, I just gave up on trying to hide it. I parked it on her side of the garage while she was at work and put up a "John Deere Parking Only, all others will be towed" sign.

I have to stop buying buck 110's... I have a fascination with the older ones and cant not stop buying them. I really think these last two will be it but thought that 3 bucks ago.

Nice looking 110s. I never bought one when I was younger because everybody had one. So I bought a large Schade instead. I rectified that situation this past year and bought a two dot and one from 1987. Also two new ones. They add up quickly it seems.

Come On Guys. Everybody know they will appreciate in value? Right.....
So, they are an investment by golly!

seems we are all on the same page and same situations lol.
Jec, yeah, kind of hard to hide a John Deere.. :-)

Well the one knife arrived today and its in great shape. the seller got it from an estate sale. Other one should be in soon. I'll get some photos of them together once the other one comes in.

Sitting here watching the US hockey team loose a tough game to finland.. Congrats to the Fins, they were the better team today for sure.
but at least I have my 110 in hand...something soothing about holding them, admiring the quality etc.

I involved the wife in the knife and gun things nearly from the beginning. Showed her where the 40 plus dot and no dot 110's are nearly all double in value over what I gave for them, as well as many others.

She was even searching ebay for me for a while.

She has a pair of the S30V Cabelas Alaskan Guide fillet knives for the kitchen so she is happy.

And well, she has her own Remmy 700 in .204 that has never failed her on one shot drop in their tracks. Hogs, deer, couple turkey.

I think I will keep her. :D

I do an inventory of her back pack when I can't find some particular buck. :D
but it is nice when field dressing a deer and my blade goes dull,,,,and she loans me her Orangie 426.

yeah,,,a keeper... sorry for the drift...

A keeper for sure :) Luckily I got a keeper too even though I can not get her into knives and guns (though she does go to the range with me now and then but the bang intimidates her but she is a darn good shot. Some day you will be missing most of your knives and she will have them all in her backpack haha.
