We had a nice Christmas and even had the honor of being on the front page of the local paper. The title of the article was Margo's gift and it expressed her great attitude and our desire that everyone put aside their differences and forgive and forget about wrongs and slights. Love your friends and family and let them know it. How it is easy to loss sight of the good things about people and to take them for granted. You never really know when someone might have to leave you. Never have your love and appreciation unexpressed!
The day after Christmas is our anniversary and we had a small ceremony at a local church to renew our vows and express our love and commitment to each other. It was wonderful and a great occasion for both of us.
She is nearing the end of her radiation therapy and this round of chemo. This makes her very tired and she rest most of the day, but is still her positive, cheerful, loving self. She has had a few periods of upset stomach etc, but, is doing what she needs to do to fight this battle. The radiation and chemo has caused her a bit of confusion and weakness, but. she should have her last radiation treatment on the 14th of January and finish the chemo about that time. She will then have a 4 week break and her healthy brain tissue should recover from the radiation. After the break, she will be on a schedule of 5 days of the chemo drug and 21 days off. They will monitor her during this time and she will be getting brain scans to see how things progress. There are still some treatment options open for later. We are hoping for the best and plan to make a trip through Montana in the spring to visit friends and relatives.
We wish everyone a Happy New Year and thanks again for all the prayers, help and encouragement. Margo n Jim
