Just completed this knife for my wife's birthday.

Thank you all! She really liked it, so that made me happy.

The laser marking of the hummingbirds, (I drew those up specifically for this project) didn't work out that great, but the guy who did the work is still learning and I'm just grateful that there's someone nearby who's willing to do it. I looked into desktop lasers, and what I need is well outside my budget, but I found out all sorts of helpful information during my research which I can pass on to him and improve future work. That's the only part that I outsourced for this. This knife is my first in AEB-L and I was expecting it to warp in heat treatment really bad, but it did not warp at all. So...I guess the short story here is that I prefer a slightly botched etching instead of an AEB-L taco

I'd say the etching looks pretty darn good from where I'm sitting.
