Wife's going under the knife... smoke and prayers needed

Morning all, hope everyone's doing well and getting ready for the holidays.

Terri my wife's going in for a minor procedure to have a temporary Neuro stimulator out in to help get deal with her debilitating back pain from a spine that's essentially crumbling under her own weight (which isn't above normal, I had to add this or she'd kill me ;) ) the implant is to help relieve her of the constant pain she lives with every day.

Eventually she needs major back surgery, probably should get it first but this is a minor procedure and if it gives her the relief she needs than we could start her back surgeries and address the cause and not the symptom.

Thank you for the vibes, thoughts, smoke, prayers and love in advance. She's going in around 1:00pm so think about her if you notice is around 1:00 and the collective good energy might make it to her and the doctors and nurses working on her today.

I've been here since before the beginning and I'd like to think of you all as friends and appreciate the support over all these years, you're all in my thoughts and prayers, thank you again.

Good luck to your wife, hope the trial is successful. Had a Medtronics adaptive stim (changes stimulation based on body position) SCS installed a year ago after L4/L5 fusion 5 years ago failed to stop neuropathy down my legs. Not a panacea, but it reduced my leg pain around 75%. Overrides the pain with a tingling sensation similar to when something goes to sleep, tingling is better than burning. Recharging the battery is a PIA and have to recharge mine every week as it is cranked up. Does not help with being antalgic, might even make that worse. Did not help with spasms. If you have questions I can help with send PM.

Strength and comfort to you and your wife on the way from here. Sincere hope that Terri will be on the road to be pain free. 1:00 pm

Positive thoughts from the Pleasant Valley...

Sending positive thought and prayers my friend. Let us know if you need anything else, and how it gos

Positive thoughts sent you way, Ted.
Sure hope she gets some relief, and won't need surgery. Four very bad back surgery outcomes have left me in very bad shape. You're doing the right thing by trying this first. Again, sure hope she can get some relief from this. Good luck.

Positive thoughts sent towards your direction, Ted. I hope everything will be alright and she´ll be fine in a short period of time.

Thanks for the good vibes, prayers and smoke, she came out the other side no worse for the war, now it's the tweaking of the device to gain the most relief. We appreciate all the love and all that good energy helped...
:)

My nerves are a wreck but I won't tell the boss lady that, I'll just play it cool, or a small snifter of cognac to try to relax a little and tomorrow is off to the doc's who happens to be, (according to my wife," another good looking Hungarian. I hope I'm the other one she's thinking of :) )

Thanks for the update. Good to hear.

Hello,

I am late to this thread.

Thank you for the update.

I will pray for your wife and you.

Good luck to your wife, mine suffers from many of the same things. God bless.

Tomorrow is the next phase, they remove the temporary stimulator and we decide what's next. It does help and knowing this we'll move forward getting everyone on the same page between surgeon and pain management.

Thank you so much for the prayers and good thoughts they help.

Good to hear things are moving along, but so far to go. Best thoughts and wishes to you and your family
