My crummy mastercraft torx set recently disappointed me when one of the bits had the tip twist off, so i figured id buy a quality set this time around.
I started looking around online and after a few minutes i found the Wiha company website I did some reading and like what i saw so i went on amazon and bought the 8 piece precision torx set.
The set comes with 8 drivers sized T3 to T10 and a green carry pouch.
These tools arent cheap but iv never had an issues paying for quality.
If you need a good set of small screwdrivers these are awesome im probably going to purchase the philips and hex sets in the near future.

Just a heads up on some good quality tools.

And that's no lie. German-made, pure quality. Some of my favorite tools.

Wiha is great! It also reminds me of my niece who used to say "WEEEEHAAAA!" when she got excited about something.

I have a number of WIHA tools. They pretty much own the small driver bit business these days...and yet not a lot of folks have heard of them. I have a set of WIHA Torx drivers, and one set each of WIHA metric and inch hex bits. I have also a WERA torque screw driver. 11 in/lbs to 39 in/lbs. WIHA and WERA are both Germany companies apparently. It looks like the WIHA are also made in Germany (mine are) whereas the WERA is made in Czech (mine is). Neither cheap, WERA a bit less pricey.

Another excellent source for bits is Brownells. This is THE primary American supplier of tools and parts to gunsmiths and their bits are US made the last I checked. They have Torx and both SAE & metric hex bits as well as the largest selection of sizes and thicknesses of standard slotted screwdriver bits anyone offers.

Can someone please post a link to one of these Wiha sets? Can't find them......
Make a new thread instead of bringing a really old thread back alive.

In anycase

If you just want the bits..

There are suggestions for which driver will fit those bits included in that link.

The align bits last longer due to the way the tips are designed, this kit only goes as low as t6 and offers larger ones you may not use, but can get individual bits separately

If you want higher end brand than wiha, Hazet bits and drivers are recommended. They will last alot longer in general. But they are more costly.

I'd suggest Wera brand bits are comparable to wiha bits in both service life and cost.

I'm not sure how you couldn't find any links using Google. It took me 1 second to find some.

This forums etiquette must be opposite of any other forum on earth.......most dont want new threads being created when there is always one made. Appreciate the links but could do without the snarkiness. Whatever makes you feel good I guess.

I'm not being snarki. It's how the mods prefer it. I found out the same way you just did. If I didn't say it, someone else would have.

Mo2 Mo2 Have you used Bondhus?
No but they look interesting. They don't describe the metal or heat treatment but they do say lifetime guarantee and they are designed like the wiha align bits where they try and eliminate camout.

are you guys saying that you never rounded off the tip of a WIHA torx driver, i mean never ever?

Nope, never ever, and I've been using them (the Precision Drivers) at work and at home since 2001. The ends are hardened and chromed, so they're much harder than any bolt. They will, however, snap off if you're not careful with the smallest ones. I have broken a few over the years.

Thanks, good to know!

Btw i cannot confirm that Wiha is Made In Germany. Some recent Wiha releases are cooperations with the Xiaomi brand and sold for cheap on sites such as Banggood with free shipping from HK/CN. i am in gemani, my needs are covered by the 35€ (or was it 45€?) iFixit driver set, a famous brand among electronics folks.

I have. And they also wear out. Nothing lasts forever.

I'd avoid these counterfeit websites. They most likely selling clones. But who knows for sure.

I've used ifixit stuff for electronics and they ain't bad for electronics.

I live just south of KC. And there’s a dealer called kc tool that carries all sorts of German tools. Wiha , wera and a few more. No counterfeit stuff and prices are real good.... comparatively.
