Wiha Torx wrenches are the best!

I searched prior to buying torx bits to find out which was the best/strongest. Especially for the smaller stubborn T6 screws. I had bought a kobalt set at Lowes that lasted me for a while. Eventually the loctite on on of my benchmades mangled and twisted the bit. I ended up buying what was the highest reviewed torx set on amazon.... Same thing, ended up twisting and also stripped the T6 screw in the process.

When I bought my Sebenza I took notice that Wiha allen wrenches were included. I started looking up Wiha tools and found nothing but positive reviews on how strong their allen/torx wrenches were. I bought a small L wrench set that included T6-T20 for $15 on amazon and these little wrenches are the real deal! I wish I had known about Wiha prior to wasting my money on other torx sets. If you need to buy a set I can't recommend Wiha enough. It says a lot when Chris Reeve decides to include these tools to work on his knife as well.

I hope this helps someone else down the line when they are looking for a set of Torx wrenches to work on their folders and anything else that uses torx screws.

Absolutely!! No one should have to live w/ distorted torx bits-- wish I'd bot Wihas first-- not second.

Agreed. Many of the maintenance guys at work buy Wiha out of their own pocket for a reason.

Chris including them with the 25 is a pretty telling endorsement too. ;)

I bought them too. Like em a lot. Funny though, I ask mechanics and guys I work with, nobody has ever heard of wiha!

dont see wiha used much here in the south. Sears is the only place to get them. I've worked around hundreds of other electricians and very few used wiha. I've got a few and they're very good tools. Only problem is when they break its hard to find a warranty replacement quickly.

Great to see everyone has positive experiences using Wihas as well! I have been very impressed with their durability. I consider myself to know a decent amount about tools... I had NEVER heard of them either! Glad I came across them. Maybe they are not are prominent here in the US because it is a German company?

I remember one of the mods on here highly recommending Wiha torx wrenches once. May have to pick myself some up.

Maybe not in big box retail or typical hardware stores, but they're very easy to find via online dealers in the U.S. Also, in markets where there's a large technology sector (electronics, semiconductors, computer manufacturing, major university/tech schools, etc.), it likely won't be hard to find tools like these at specialty dealers catering to the needs of professional technicians, engineers, etc. Once one becomes aware of dealers like these, they seem to come out of the woodwork everywhere. I used to live in Austin, TX, and worked as an equipment technician/associate engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer. Our company was in the habit of ordering tools and equipment from dealers like these, some of which had local brick & mortar representation (otherwise, we ordered online or by phone/faxed purchase orders). Got sort of spoiled in using tools like Wiha & Xcelite on the job. In browsing some of these stores on occasion, I picked up some of my own 'personal use' Wiha & Xcelite tools there.

I discovered Wiha tools about 15 years ago (unrelated to knives), and they've been my go-to tools ever since.

edit: I actually discovered them at a local mom & pop hardware store we used to have here that carried lots of oddball and specialty stuff. I'd never heard of them prior to that, but I needed a set of quality precision screwdrivers for an electronics project I was working on at the time, and they recommended them.

Their 75093 has been a part of my edc for years. Highly recommended. I added a 9/64ths to mine, for use with the BK15. I have many more of their tools as well. Never an issue. Mechanics who are familiar with them use them. Top notch.

When I first read this post this morning I threw the mini torx set in my cart. I didn't check out and just logged in now and found:

1 item in your Cart has changed price.

Wiha 36392 L-Wrench Set, Torx, Short Arm, 7 Piece has increased from $15.42 to $16.56

Only 4 left in stock so I ended up grabbing one. Hope it was worth the extra dollar haha.

There have been many threads here in maintenance tinkering embellishment over the last few years with people asking about good brands of wrenches - Allen and Torx. I have recommended Wiha many times. Also good are Wera & Felo. P.B. Swiss used to be good also but I have heard conflicting reports about some of the newer ones. As a machinist, I use both Torx and Allen wrenches daily - you get to know which are the good brands pretty quick.

Awesome.....I been wanting to get a small Wiha set. Question is which one do I go with...haha...decisions, decisions!

I use a set of with a t-wrenches in my work daily. I do a whole lot of bolt tightening and cranking and cannot express my love for these things.
