Anyone care to venture a guess as to when the photo found on the site below was taken? Notice flags at half-mast. Quite fitting.

they copyright it as 2006 but that could mean anything, dunno your guess is as good as mine and not to sound overly dramatic but there isnt a day that goes by that i dont miss camillus being around:( Still no word on the Acme website as to when they intend to start producing products again... sadly it will not be the same regardless of quality or country of origin...
the giant will be missed

I would guess mid 90s based on the ivy on the front of the building.

Not so pretty now, complete with broken windows. :(

There is alot of oil, sweat, blood & steel soaked into those floors.

A lot of great knives came out of those buildings.

Gone but not forgotten.

Good Collecting !

Acme United Buys Camillus Cutlery Brand Name, Patents And Trademarks For About $200K - Quick Facts
September 18, 2007; Posted: 05:23 PM
(RTTNews) - Acme United Corp. said on Tuesday that it has acquired the Camillus Cutlery Company brand name as well as all its patents and trademarks for about $200 thousand.
The assets were acquired in a bankruptcy auction. Camillus closed business in February 2007 following a 6 month labor strike. Its revenues were about $18 million during its final year.
Acme United's Chairman and CEO, Walter Johnsen, said, "We intend to reestablish the Camillus brand into production and continue to deliver high quality products. We hope to slowly build revenues as we reconnect with customers. This will be a careful undertaking."

I've been to the Acme site and haven't found any indication they are bringing out a new Camillus.
