Hi everyone.

Today I have here the copy of my older knife. I rarely make the very same knives but this time I made an exception. The client was very nice and I like this particular design so I agreed. It was somehow challenging to make it as similar as possible but I think I have succeeded :) I wanted to finish this knife before the Christmas because I want to compete with it on John White Memorial - Best Bowie contest .. So if you want to support me please vote on 26th December ! :) Last year I wanted to nominate the previous knife but sadly there was the covid pause on the competition. I almost couldn't finish it before the date, because I was babysitting last two months :D But afternoon, weekends and even night shifts saved the day :D :D :D So I hope you will like it , looking forward the contest and I wish everyone all the best for the incoming year !!! Stay save :) Petr

Thanks a lot everyone !! :) Im glad you like it :)

Very, very nice....sinister and beautiful!
May I ask how do You make the steel patina?

Thank you :)

If you mean the patina on mild steel guard/pommel/frame/sheath etc. than it is fire, air, water - repeated various times, until you are satisfied with the structure and then I use rust "remover" with tannin base to dark the color:)

If you refer to the blade pattern it is FeCl3 etch on O2 steel . This steel has a pinch of vanadium inside so it makes those beautiful carbides :)
