Very Nice! I like this one, especially the contrast between the dark Damascus and light ivory. Also nice detail on the spacer. Well done.

Awesome work Aaron. One of the best I've seen.

Great balance visually and a very cohesive feel. Nice design and execution.

The blade and damascus fittings look great.

Never a fan of that type of handle material personally, it looks like a bunch of cracks.

.....biggest problem is with the spacers. Nickel silver is a highly reactive material. Those beautifully filed spacers are going to "green out", and it isn't easy to clean them up. Would have been so much easier for the end user to maintain if they had been done of stainless steel.

The overall shape and flow is very pleasing.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Great looking knife.
I have a dagger with nickel silver guard I made around 2002 and it hasn't grown any "green" so the lack of love for NS has long confused me. Always liked the material personally.
That feather pattern rocks:thumbup:

A Beautiful Vest Bowie Aaron. Your fit/finish is always exceptional.

You accurately (IMO) call it "Vest Bowie" as opposed to "Vest Pocket Bowie" as this style smaller Bowie wasn't usually carried in a vest pocket, but rather tucked in the trousers and concealed by the vest flap, thus the name.

Great feather pattern IMO, as I judge the execution of this pattern by how precisely the feather spine is centered and follows the shape of the blade. This one is about dead-on IMO.

In regard to the nickel silver, I've had fittings made with it that never needed polishing and others that needed constant attention. I believe it depends on the nickel content of the particular
material used. To STeven's point, if it does turn it's going to be difficult to polish without possibly negatively affecting the blueing. At least the Damascus appears to be blued.

Does it have a butt cap?

Mighty good looking knife. Really like it.
Complete package and that blade just floats my boat!
