Just got back from a Jet boat trip up the Missouri from James Kipp recreational area to the first dam above Fort Benton. Stretches of this piece river are classified as Wild and Scenic and is only open to power boats a limited basis. They extended the dead line to June 15 this year for our groups yearly run. 13 boats started and though a bit rainy Friday, it was a great run with some great people. Unfortunately, one boat did not make the rapids below the dam at the upstream end or the trip. Both people made it out OK and one had a water proof video going when they went down. Camera made it on lanyard. If he posts it I will post the link. Jim

Yup, we were building white mans fires for sure. The last one was partly the result of the chainsaw being in the boat that sunk. There was always plenty of coals left in the morning to cook breakfast.
Saw some game, area has lots of deer, elk, big horn sheep, birds. I plan to make the area around the Missouri my hunting grounds now that I moved back to MT. Would have got some better pictures, but, my brother had to beg off at the last minute and its had to take pictures while running. Jim
