Hello Folks. I recently purchased a small folding knife crafted by Wilde Bill Cody. I'm aware that Cody designed and created custom knives for Buck for nearly 40 years. However, I can't find any information about this particular knife. It's a single blade folder with a Buck 303 Cadet clip point blade. The handle is made of wood, possibly cocobolo, with nickel silver bolsters and a nickel silver spacer. It's a small knife that measures about 3 1/4" closed. The blade is 2 1/2" long. One side of the ricasso is marked "BUCK 303 U.S.A." with the date code symbol for 2004. The opposite side is marked with the WBC buffalo skull logo. I was curious to know if this is a one-of-a-kind creation, or if this was something Cody created for sale by Buck. Any ideas? I can't find another example of this knife pictured online.

These are terrific examples. I've never seen them or even heard of the gentleman maker so I look forward to learning more.

Great find!

It's a version I've not seen.

My guess is that it's a 1-off. I'll further speculate that since he stamped the blade with his mark that it was done after he left Buck's payroll.

I was going to reach out to him but bertl bertl is on it.

I have both the single and 3 blade version with black jet, MOP and brass nickel lines in my collection.
