Wilderness xmas present for my brother's brother-in-law. This is my Wilderness model. Hand made from 1/8" 1095, full taper grind, full tang, the blade is 3 1/2" and overall it is 7 7/8". Handles are Maple Burl with Pandora's Box mosaic pins. Hand filed spine. I think this will be a big hit. I took it to work last night for show and tell and I got an order for one just like it from a local cop. Thanks for looking Doug

I really like the design of your file work. And that wood looks amazing. I might have to get me some.

Doug what a beaut! Everyone has jsut about said it all. I'll add, the wood is staggeringly awesome (where'd you get it?) and good selection on the mosaic pins.

Oh ya, and by-the-way, don't we stay to the right in the US

All the best, Phil

Farmer Phil and lamontjb Thanks much for the compliments. actually the wood was given to me by a good friend larry917 he got it along with some desert Iron wood and he decided to use the Iron wood to handle a Becker Companion which I have not gotten to do yet. As far as staying to the left I just had to be different. Thanks again. Doug

Actually can you tell me what you did to the burl? It has a nice finish and I recently finished a Knife with an Amboyna Burl Handle. Currently it feels great in the hand, but it could use a better finish. Do you use wax?
