Could some of you recommend me something?

You can get an esee 4 from JSE survival for 80 dollars i think. Check it out man.

Do you want a knife that is useful for detail work like carving pegs and cleaning fish or something to cleave logs with?

KA-BAR large heavy Bowie, I've got one now that's pretty survived out. Fire kit, fishing rig, slipjoint folder, and diamond sharpened rod banded to sheath, I don't use the stick sheath though just a Cheapie nylon from Frost Cutlery knife.

.25", 1080 equivalent thats some type of spring steel, I hear and about $50-ish USD

Mora might be a better option for you, or one from Helle Blades since you are in Europe.

My favorite so far is this RTAK-II. I've had it a long time, dont remember how much i paid but it was less than $100.00, may be more now days. But at whatever price it's worth every penny IMO!

What do you understand by the term 'survival knife' and what do YOU intend to use it for?

Always a bit wary when people perceive a need for a 'survival knife.'

Ohh..., and if you are asking about a 'hard use knife' in that price range, you might consider the ESEE knives.

For a large knife a Becker Matchax, for a smaller knife a Becker Necker or the Escobar. CS makes some good knives big and small. Don't worry about the silliness of where a knife is made, as long as you buy a knife from a company that has a good reputation for quality. There's also a lot to choose from from the hi end custom market. Go shopping online and look around.

Since you're in Europe, I would suggest a Scandinavian fixed blade knive. There are several Dutch webshops which sell them and you can find them on trading sites too. Mora, Helle, Brusletto, EKA, Strömeng or a Finish puukko. The Sami people are surviving for centuries now with such knives.
