I've been looking around for the ZT 300s and noticed the prices are all over the place. These are all good dealers and aren't selling fakes nor are they blems. Amazon sells the 300 for $184 as of this moment. I see one site selling the 301serrated for $270. Others sell the regular 301 for $236 and another site has it for $260. Why are the prices so varied for the same knife? $184, $236, $260, $270, which is the normal price?

When I look up the ZT 0400 it's basically the same price everywhere.

That's a great price from Amazon. A few bucks cheaper than when I ordered a few days ago. Just remember, that the price at Amazon can springboard at any time so the current low may be $200+ again in the morning. Strike while the iron is hot!

I was definitely tempted but I like the ranger green more than the all-black model on Amazon.

Congrats man, and no doubt Kershawguy will have that order at your door fast.

Retailer cost for a 301 is $190. Because not that many brick and motar stores sell zt's they can charge more. Even online stores have such a small market, they can charge more because their consumer base isn't willing to shop around.

It could be any number of factors given the market for the particular model and the circumstances surrounding the seller. The 0300 series is fairly popular, and stock is not always available. Moreover, online retailers like Amazon more likely than not use a pricing schedule that is based on supply and demand. Also, some online retailers have brick and mortar locations as well as employees - hence, their prices might be higher to account for the distribution of any profit that the seller makes off the knife. There's also the issue of monitoring availability across the spectrum: some dealers might view the market as scarce at times, and if a particular model is in high demand may raise the prices a bit to make an extra buck or two off their stock.

In short, it depends...

Interesting. I got mine for 189$ shipped in 2009 from a dealer.

For starters ZT does do MAP pricing. Anyone advertising below their minimum should be reported and they should not be allowed to sell ZT knives. I for one appreciatte ZT watching out for the dealers bottom line. Secondly, the price on these should be high right now. There are not a ton out there and the dealers are having a hard time getting them. Me personally, I would by from a trusted source from the forums. I agree with others that Kershawguy can be trusted, has a great price, and will get it to you ASAP!

There are only a couple of dealers in the UK that sell Zero Tolerance knives.

The 0300 - todays price is £221 ($350).

The cheapest is the 0350 which sells for around $170.
