Reading thru Wildwood Wisdom by Ellsworth Jaeger the other night (for the 1 bizillionth time)

I spied this page:

And had that AHHHHHH HAAAAA moment!

Just what I needed, super quick, easy to make and it works like a charm. And I'm sure it could be used as a pot hanger as well with a little more carving.

Also work very well as a pot holder

And by the way I LOVE that book! I have gotten so many great pieces of info from it!

OK, so I know what the next book on my shelves to go with Kephart's "Camping & Woodcraft" will be!

A classic book that should be on everyone's shelf. If I had to pick one book off my shelf to take for an extended stay in the woods, that would be it. The picture of Mr. Jaeger with his cat is a little creepy, though.

Good eye, skab!

Sometimes you can read and reread something and still miss some little gem. Then sometime later you catch it on the first pass.

Great book! I borrowed a copy from the library until they wouldn't let me renew it an more. I finally own my own copy.

Great post and great book! This book is very interesting and an easy read and everyone should pick up a copy. It provides lots of ideas, with pictures. It really gets you motivated to get out and try things.
