Anyone have a link on instructions for changing a Griptilian over to Wilkins scales?

hey its pretty self explainitory after you take it apart . the axis lock and liners will stay together once you remove the stock scales then you just reinstall one scale then the backspacer, then the other scale then slide the blade and washers in together .. and you can always send them to kevin, or if you cant get it you can send it to me and i will install em for ya !!!

I think I can figure it out.Never had one apart so I was hoping for a vid so I could get a picture in my head.
Thanks

IMO that is one of Spydercos best.
I still have a PE that my wife got me for Christmas when they first came out.

Figured it out.
Love this set up.Only other thing I could wish for would be a lanyard hole.

According to his site, the gen2 scales will have a hole integrated into the spacer. I'm waiting for those. ;)

I like the looks of that better, with the jimping on the spacer, the bump looks to have purpose, unlike the original. To my eye the original spacer looks unfinished and poorly fit even though that is the way it is designed.

Don't get that statement wrong I am not calling the Wilkins scales and back spacer poor quality, in fact I am sure they are top notch. Just that the look was wrong for me. Gen2 looks perfect to my eye, bits amazing what taking a little metal away from one spot and adding in another can do:thumbup::thumbup:

But they are not made in the USA! ;)

Only made in the one place that I consider above American quality in general manufacturing (well compared to 1900's manufacturing anyways) Germany. :)

The Gen 2 look hot, but I have yet to find a griptillian blade I love.

It still means that many more Americans without jobs.

On a more practical point (your blade point), you've looked at and ruled out the Ritter variation on the Grip blades? (I assume so, just mentioning it on the chance you haven't.)

I'd love an M2 Ritter blade on Wilkins scales but they are unobtanium.

There's been a rash of M2 RSKs on the "for sale by individuals" forum recently, I think? Good manners keeps me from saying more than that I think the prices I've seen were optimistic and/or indicated that the sellers were not highly motivated. ;)

Isn't M4 supposed to be an updated and slightly better M2? Any reason you don't want the M4 ritter with the somewhat rare for Benchmade and awesome DLC coating?
