This might be in the wrong section but I think I might get better answers here so... have a BM 552 with WilkinsGrips. I love it except for the finger choil. It puts "pointy" pressure on my middle finger when I use it. I would like to modify it and remove the choil. I believe I have read of others rounding out and modifying WilkinsGrips here on the forum. Anyone have any suggestions or a method for smoothing out the finger choil and rounding the edges a bit? Methods and supplies necessary would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Its g10 so its relatively easy to work with with just some wet/dry sandpaper. Just start at a low grit like 220 and get the profiling done and then work up in the grits until your happy with the level of finish. Use a sanding block or flat piece of wood so you can keep it nice and even.

And make sure you wear a dust mask/respirator. G10 dust is highly toxic. You can also do it under running water to cut the dust. Good luck.

That has always put me off buying those grips, as I like a clean underside to the handle.
