Will a benchmade mini grip hold up to use?

Depends.
If you use it as a pry bar to break into a car or house, try to stab a concrete block, cut through a piece of iron pipe, etc...probably not.

I use a knife every day at work and an inexpensive knife handles my needs just fine...
You may need to touch up the edge or even resharpen depending on use but the Mini Grip is a very nice knife and will stand up quite nicely to all "normal" knife uses.

What do you consider "hard everyday use"???

Mine has been a great little work knife. It will take pretty much anything you throw at it.

What kind of hard everyday use? If you're using your folder to cut things and not pry, chop, or stab through metal, than it should hold up.

It has one of the two strongest locks on the market. It also has good hard use steel. Unless you are going to blow it up, shoot it, baton through a Giant Sequoya, then yes, it will hold up.

Regular everyday use for me entails cutting boxes, zip ties, ropes, and every so often (if I don't have my cutters) I'll even cut off a chunk of CAT6 cable from a spool. My Mini-Grip hasn't let me down yet.

I think the Mini-Grip has a well earned rep for being a dependable daily carry knife. You can find the videos showing the lock strength, and the others of guys standing on them showing the lateral strength.

At their price point, even with the MAP enforcement, I think they're a good buy. You can sometimes nab one off the exchange for even less. And the CPM154 steel is a proven workhorse in the knife blade arena. It's not the latest and greatest blade steel, but it's been around awhile now and serves its purpose well.

Some folks don't care for the "plastic" handle, but you cannot deny it is tough and about impervious to anything you throw at it.

Use it, but don't abuse it, and it'll serve you well.

Yes it is a very strong knife for it's size. Can't say that about alot of others. Get one!!!!!!!!!!!

I've carried my current one for 5 years and it's still pretty much like new. The one before that I had carried even longer and gave it to a co-worker when I retired- he wanted that knife over a new one, so you know it was still in good shape, too. Great knife in a small package.

Op is the same moron who stared the CRK troll thread and never came back. I'm fairly confident this is a similar situation. This guy just wants to stir the pot:thumbdn:
