Will a Sage blade fit a Sage 2 handle?

Like the title says, is there any difference between the blades of the two Sage incarnations? I have a Sage 2 with a knackered blade, and am contemplating buying a Sage as a donor as it can be had quite cheap on Ebay right now.

Yeah, I know about that mod, but what that mod does is switch out the non-lock sides of the handle. I am wondering if there is any difference between the locking interfaces of the RIL and the Liner Lock.

I wouldn't switch out the blade without also switching out the lock bar. These things are put together with close tolerances and are fitted to that specific lock.

I agree with Josh K. Given that the blades are the same (shape, steel, grind), why would you want to switch them? Seems like a redundancy without knowing why.

i think he messed up a sage 2 blade, and instead of buying another one he was wondering if he could get a sage 1 for cheaper and swap the blade. but as the others have said the locks are fitted to each knife so it sounds like you have to get another sage 2.

See first post for the reason. But as you say, the risk of a mismatch is too big apparently. I'll just go get another Sage 2 then.
