Anybody had this happen yet? Wondered if it could or if the there was a detent or something to hold it shut.

The blade is held in the closed position by a very positive spring loaded detent.

Stay sharp!

I had the Synergy since June at the Blade show. It has never opened in my pocket. It is also a tip down clip carry knife.

I've been carrying my Synergy every day for the past three weeks (since I got it), clipped into my right front waistband, with zero problems. Really terrific knife, blade is held securely closed, and locks open with absolutely no blade play (and with the authority of a bank vault). Highly recommended.

Been kinda busy of late, intending to post something in the reviews forum when I come up for air...

Just got one yesterday from Jim.[after lots of procrastination]What a cool knife. As far as opening in your pocket,it has a very positive detent in the closed position. This knife will probably replace my Sebenza as a daily carry.

I can't see the Synergy opening accidentally in your pocket. The detent is firm and so far my wife had no complaints about it. It's a super nice knife to have. Go get you one, you'll love it.

I've had mine since August and carry it daily. I went over to a friend's house the other day and he was in the process of cutting up a couple deer shoulders. He handed me a boning knife that wouldn't cut hot butter if you melted it and poured it over the edge. I pulled out my SpeedTech and made short work of the job.

I did cut myself yesterday when my wife saw me use it to cut a piece of cord and asked, "Is that a new knife?" I nicked my finger trying to close it quickly and return it to my back pocket. She did say it was "pretty."

I really like mine and I think they are worth the money.
