The latest picture has taken me over the edge.

The ARCLite is an Awesome Neck Knife.

420HC is OK at the current price point but...

Talonite Rules!!!

Anyone else interested?

SD,
I hear you buddy, but do you have ANY idea how expensive an ARCLITE out of TALONITE would be? Trust me, it would be WAY expensive

Its just too much TALONITE, actually more than the TALON. We have the new MINI TALON, that doesn't make you happy?

Keep the ideas coming....

I may actually have to handle the Mini-Talon in order to get excited. I am concerned that a 2.25 inch blade might be too short for my tastes.

I didn't realize that the ArcLite would require more material than the Talon.

I have an ArcLite on order and it looks like a design that would really rock in Talonite.

more then 10 times for the 420HC cost ......

For the cutting ability , I think all perform the same ......the only reason for Stelite/Talonite is they never rusts and can use as a fire poker in the field
IMHO

How about a 154CM arclite. Will?

Let me get past the first to 154CM versions first

I received my Arclite this weekend and I was disappointed. It is too thin for a comfortable grip on the handle. It looks to be less than 1/8" Stock.

On the positive side it was very sharp out of the box.

I would want a premium version to be made out of thicker Stock whether it is Talonite or 154cm.

Anthony,

I have not found a wrapping method that is comfortable and doesn't interfere with the sheath. I may try adding some type of thin handle scale.

I don't believe that stepping up to 1/8" stock would add enough weight to be detrimental but I do believe it would help with grip comfort.

I don't feel the need for Talonite, but I would be very happy to see (and buy) an ArcLite in 154CM!

I like the one I have in 420HC. I've been wearing it most days and using it regularly. Maybe I'm a mutant, but it seems to fit my hands comfortably. And I really like the option to attach a mini-TekLok to the sheath. Great design all around!

Can we get an ArcLite in 154CM or VG-10?

SD,
Yup, we tried .125" stock, and we felt that it did add more weight than we wanted for the knife, while adding almost no additional comfort. I'll try to get a pic of my wrapped ARCLITE up so you can see what I have done. You just need to not start with the firt slot in the knife, as this will cause a problem for the sheath as you noted.

Bob Q,
There has been some discussion of alternate blade materials for the ARCLITE, but nothing firm yet. It would probally be on a limited basis for one of our distributors or larger online knife dealers. 154cm might be on the list, but VG10 would not, since it is not easy to obtain here in the US. Either way, it probally will take awhile, as we are having trouble meeting the demand of the current versions.

Thanks for your interest guys!
