Thanks Neil. I just got back from delivering the knife to its new owner. He was tickled pink. It was a early Christmas present from his wife and he didn't have a clue. He had been mulling over a few pictures I had given him in the spring and had settled on this design but told his wife he would wait till the spring to order it. With his upcoming hunt booked she phoned me in Aug and said to make it now if I could have it done by Nov 1.
He thought I was coming out to ask permission to hunt.
The cartridges are freshly loaded 45-70 with paper patched cast pure lead 365gr. bullets. There hell on whitetails in the thick bush.

Robert,
SHEEEESH!!! I have a Thomson Center Contender Barrel chambered for 45-70. One of these days I'll put the scope on it, get the frame ready and dial it in. That should be fun

NO 365 grainers though!!!!

Yeah, pass on the 365's and do the Garrett Cartridge Co. 530 grain Hammerhead thing; they'll stop ANYTHING in the woods, plains, veldt, etc......

Maurice, thanks and I'm glad I could be part of your conversion.
Neil don't even think of the Garret line there to mild for my liking and the lead is to hard and brittle.( actually they make good stuff but not for me) These Leave my Ruger #1 at over 2000 fps. and shoot thru deer from ANY angle. They are a "little starchy" for a TC.
