Great forum, been lurking for a week. Found it looking for info on tomahawks and a new fixed blade for work. (modding the cs trailhawk is a great thread).

A little about myself; 15 yrs as a Texas Peace Officer, last 6 as a patrol Sgt in a small town(but poor and busy!).

Own an AK and built myself an AR last year. Also concluded that I need a new fixed blade cause I've never really cared for my cold Steel braveheart that gets carried at work (but a decent knife).

Thus my reason for posting in this forum; I'm pretty damn sure I need a ratmandu tax write-off!
And the trailhawk will make a great entry tool (tax language, lol).

At work I carry a glock, a ruger lcp and the cs braveheart. The AR of course is in my patrol car.

Anyone carry the rmd as a boot knife? I've ran, wrestled, tasered, etc with my cs boot knife in its
Kydex and just have to push it down now and then. Perhaps I could find a different concealed
location?

Those are some damn fine looking knives. Great forum guys; appreciate being allowed to join.

Peace,
Revenuer

Welcome to the Swamp Revenuer! :D

You do need a RatManDu by the way, its a great knife. Then there's the Rat Solution, a more useful every day size for me, oh yea, the Howler is fantastic. Dont forget the Rodent 9 for those chopping chores, oh yea speaking of chopping there's the Chopwieler, and Ratwieler, and and, well. ...... I can quit anytime! :o

The wife decided she wanted to buy me an rmd.

Now which one? Too bad there's not a black blade with red (ish) micarta. Would definitely match my spikes ar with the red spider logo(kinda looks like a red crab imo).

Maybe some red (ish) leather dye would work on the tan micarta.

My buddy, never had luck with ankle carry or boot carry. My buddy carries his RMD in an iwb sheath behind his body armor and it works great. It keeps it from prying eyes and fingers during a fight but can still be utilized quickly.

Good luck and god bless the police and military.

My kevlar is worn over a polo. I wear a non-traditional style uniform. No complaints tho, in the Texas summer I can walk into the pd and just peal it off then quickly put it back on. I don't have much choice besides boots carry.

It wouldn't be very concealable under my kevlar.

Open to ideas tho.
Thanks

And another thanks for the police and military service folks!

I just picked up a Rodent Solution and it has quickly become my favorite edc blade ! I think you would like that model too .
